Merry Christmas

Happy Holidays to all out there. These past days have been crazy for me. And it didn't get no better when about a hour ago when I went to take out the trash and slipped on black-ice, fell from the TOP of the stairs to the Bottom and fell on my head and gave my right ear a brand new piercing. If you're wondering how my ear looks right now just picture Evander Holyfields ear when Mike Tyson bit it.... yea. So ummm I'm in alot of pain right now but it's Christmas Eve and 'tis the season to be jolly, fola la la la, la la la la... anyway Have a good one out there and Becareful outside. Especially ya'll in the Tri-State Area. You-ont wanna slip on black-ice and fall so hard one of your legs fall off or some shit then you'll really be falling and can't get up.... Merry Christmas..

"Ur Supposed 2 B" Videoshoot

On Saturday, we did the video for my first single "Ur Supposed 2 B" feat Koz, produced by myself (Isz) and directed by Slush. All shot in Williamsburg/Bed-Stuy & Clinton Hill, Brooklyn,NY. It was definitely an experience I expected the best but it was the all-out best. I definitely gotta give a shot outs to everybody who came through. LillyBeth Gonzalez (Makeup Artist & Costume), Javier Mosquera (Production & Camera Assistant) , Bridget Barkan (Actress), Victor Lapy, Tippie (Production design & effects supervisor) , Gil T. (Actor), Almeria Campbell (Actress), James Holloway (Actor), Alfonso Cole, DJ Blakghost, Koz (rapper), Slush (Director) you made this shit happen, Gilbert Flores (Cinematography), Jae Brook (you definitely made a critical contribution lol word up), CE Muzik & McCray Media + Co., Athur Retiz a.k.a. Grand Finale, my niggaz Elegy & KazMoney for coming through and doing the jumping scene (that was too funny lol). Shot out to my nigga Borris for coming through, shot out to Joshue and Andy even though ya'll couldn't make it I understand. My big brother Larry, I wish you could've been in New York at the time, City, The Specialist, Mastermind the whole Coney Island crew, Crown Heights, East NY & Bed-Stuy the whole Brooklyn this one's for you.. Shot out to everyone who wanted to come through but couldn't make it, I understand trust me...

I was also glad to have to chance to shoot this video while Koz is still here in New York. Yea it's crazy he's going back to Cali to live but I remember the day I met this dude. He came through the studio dressed up in a suit and started spitting over the Jay-Z "Moment of Clarity" instrumental and had a CD of songs he did in his crib and I was like wtf???... Looking real familiar cause I was doing the same thing lol.. but he really went hard with this rap thing from shows to videos, touring from New York to California and internationally. Gotta respect that. word up. So this is to Koz ( Cheers, La'Chayim)... Still here for a couple more days but when you go I know u still gon' do the damn thang... lol nahmean.

On Sunday Dec. 7, 2008 (the day after the shoot). Grand Finale called me up about 1pm like "you gotta come through the studio, the playback of the video is crazy"... now ummm.. I was all for it and happy but I ain't gon' lie I was tired like ma-of. And plust it was like only one of the coldest and windiest days for that matter.. I thought I was the only tired one but I got to the studio it was like hotel continental breakfast. Everybody was drinking coffee and shit.. eatting doughnuts and cookies I was like wow... So I seen the playback and it suprised me b/c at first I was real anxious and feeling like damn did I kill it?. lol

Isz on Demand

For everybody out there tired of this wackness you hearing on your radio. It's time to take action and demand that this be stopped. Check the realness right here. If you miss the feeling of the 80's, 90's and early 2000's hip hop, you won't be dissappointed if you listen to my music. Jay-Z, The Notorious B.I.G., 2Pac, Wu-Tang, Nas, DMX, Mobb Deep, Redman, Busta Rhymes, The Lox, Drag-on, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Black Moon, Das Efx you know what I'm saying... real shit my nigga.. but anyway I'm getting ready to do a tour and I'm taking demands.. holla @ ya boy:

New Addition to Black History

(Originally posted Nov. 5, 2008 on wordpress)
Yesterday was the most amazing day of my life. After Jesse Jackson tried in 1984, Barack Obama went down in history as the 44th American President and the 1st black president of the United States of America. I'm proud to have been a part of history and have voted as an African American for an African American President. I have to take my hat off to my favorite rapper and mogul Jay-Z, P. Diddy, Russell Simmons & Mary J. Blige for getting the youth into this historical event and telling them to register and vote. I'm just happy to have the privelege to vote. Can't forget that "blacks" weren't allowed to vote in this country about because we weren't citizens and the fact that there was something called The Civil Rights Movement. Black people were spat on and met with all kinds of derogatory methods of abuse and disrespect. This is the dream of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. I remember all those who fought from Malcolm X to MLK to Rosa Parks and I'm proud to be an African American.

First Single "Ur Supposed 2 B"

Check out the first single off my album. The song is called "Ur Supposed 2 B" featuring Koz. My inspiration to do this song came from my personal run-ins with the NYPD along with my thoughts of minorities from the government's perspective. I wrote and produced this song back in October 2005 and it will always be one of my favorite songs and heart felt tracks. For me it's a score off the soundtrack of my life. A blend of political views with economical thoughts processed to vocal waves files, mixed and compressed by Grand Finale. We gon' shoot a video for this joint on December 6th directed by none other than Slush for McCray Media Co.. Look out for that.

A Dreamer's Worst Nightmare

There was a time when hip-hop was all about being underground, but that was looonng ago, right?? Ya Damn Right. True, but the definition of this underground king is not that as of UGK for example. Despite the dark-sounding and unusual moniker "The Devil of Rap", there's a deeper message in my music that easily intrigues not just hip hop fans, but fans of all genres. So to the world I present hip hop at it's finest. On my upcoming release LP entitled, A Dreamer's Worst Nightmare, I decided to create a self-made genre that I like to call, "Ghetto Inspirational Music", along with other mixtures blended in to capture the feel of the ghetto on cd or better yet mp3. "A Dreamer's Worst Nightmare" is scheduled for a late 4 quarter or 2009 1st quarter release.
